A favorite at this year's open house, we thought we'd share our bourbon bread pudding recipe from The Back in the Day Bakery Cookbook!
For the pudding:
1 1/2 pounds ciabatta, cut into 2-inch cubes (9 cups)
4 cups half-and-half
12 tablespoons (1 1/2 sticks) unsalted butter
1 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
3 tablespoons pure vanilla extract
5 large eggs, lightly beaten
1 cup golden raisins
For the bourbon glaze:
4 tablespoons unsalted butter

In a crock pot combine:
-15 oz canned pinto beans
-15 oz canned kidney beans
-15 oz canned black beans
-14.5 oz of canned, diced tomatoes

1 cup butter
½ cup powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 ¼ cup flour
¼ tsp. salt
3/5 cup finely chopped toasted pecans
Mix butter, sugar, and vanilla thoroughly. Blend in flour and salt. Mix in nuts. Chill dough. Heat oven to 400 degrees. Roll dough in 1” balls. Place on ungreased baking sheet (cookies do not spread). Bake 10-12 min, or until set but not brown. While still warm, roll in powdered sugar. Let cool. Roll in powdered sugar again. Makes 4 dozen.

½ tsp. baking soda
¾ tsp. salt
¾ tsp. nutmeg

½ c. oil
Combine cranberries, orange peel, and 3 Tbsp. sugar. Stir to mix and set aside.
Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, nutmeg, and 1 ¼ c. sugar.

4 cups whipped topping or cream (separated-- you'll use some in the filling and some for layering), plus additional on top, if desired
