Twinkie Trifle :: Northern Colorado :: Tents Decor Event Rentals

Ingredients

  • 2 boxes instant pudding (3.2 oz. boxes)
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 1/2 cups vodka (We vote for chocolate flavored!)
  • 4 cups whipped topping or cream (separated– you’ll use some in the filling and some for layering), plus additional on top, if desired
  • 15 Twinkies, sliced in half horizontally
  • 1/2 cup white crème de cacao or white chocolate liqueur
  • White chocolate shavings for garnish, if desired

Instructions

  1. Make the vanilla pudding shot filling. Pour the pudding mix into a large mixing bowl. Add the milk and the vodka and stir until the mixture is completely combined and begins to thicken. Stir in 2 cups of the whipped topping.
  2. Layer the ingredients in the trifle bowl in this order: Pudding, whipped topping, Twinkies, and a few tablespoons of the liqueur sprinkled over the Twinkies. Repeat until ingredients are expended.
  3. Refrigerate trifle for several hours or overnight, to allow flavors to blend.
  4. Before serving, top with additional whipped topping and white chocolate shavings, if desired.
